Asbury University is looking for a qualified candidate Full-Time, Tenure-Track Faculty position in History.
Position:
Asbury University seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor of History to begin August 2022. The Department of History and Social Sciences invites applicants with expertise in non-Western fields, digital humanities, or public history.
Responsibilities:
Teach twenty-four credit hours (introductory and upper-level courses) in an academic year, primarily in face-to-face but occasionally in online modalities; contribute scholarship in their field; advise students in the history majors; and serve on assigned department and university committees.Requirements:
Completed or near-completed Ph.D., commitment to undergraduate liberal arts learning, interdisciplinary collegiality, scholarly productivity, Christian faith, and pedagogical approaches that increase representation of marginalized historical voices. A committed and dynamic Christian faith is vital along with the ability to support the University’s theological position, lifestyle standards and mission.
